3. Product Use, Testing, and Safety

• All Monster Clutch Co. products are designed and manufactured for performance driving. These products carry inherent traits that accompany such designs. While Monster Clutch Co. makes every effort to outline these traits in product descriptions, it is the customer’s responsibility to contact us directly to ensure the correct clutch is purchased for their application.

• Every clutch is assembled and tested prior to shipment for lift, release, and plate load.

  • Lift is the ratio and distance the pressure plate pulls away from the disc.

  • Release is the clearance achieved at full stroke of the hydraulic system.

  • Plate load is the force applied on the disc(s), which correlates directly to the power capacity of the clutch.
    This testing ensures that the unit is ready for installation when received.

• Installation must be performed by qualified technicians. If a unit is not installed, maintained, and used in compliance with all applicable instructions and recommendations, serious bodily injury, property damage, or death may occur. Clutch assemblies are heavy rotating masses (40+ lbs at over 6,000 RPM) located near the driver’s feet. Improper installation or use carries extreme risk.

• By purchasing a Monster Clutch Co. product, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks and assume full responsibility for any consequences arising directly or indirectly from improper installation, maintenance, or use.

4. Limited Warranty

Monster Clutch Co. warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, to the original purchaser only. Monster Clutch Co. warrants its products as outlined below. This warranty is subject to the limitations, exclusions, and conditions described herein. If a product is determined by Monster Clutch Co., in its sole discretion, to have been properly installed, maintained, and operated in accordance with all applicable instructions and guidelines, Monster Clutch Co. will, at its sole option, repair the defective product or replace the defective product. This limited warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy available to the purchaser.

Exclusions from Warranty

This limited warranty does not cover, and Monster Clutch Co. shall not be responsible for, any of the following:

• Normal wear and tear.

• Damage caused by accidents, collisions, or external impacts.

• Damage resulting from failure to store, handle, install, maintain, or use the product in compliance with Monster Clutch Co. instructions or guidelines.

• Any modification, alteration, or attempted re-balancing of the product.

• Installation of the product in a vehicle not in compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications.

• Misuse, including but not limited to missed shifts, over-revving, or shifting into an incorrect gear.

• Failure to use or install an appropriate SFI-approved bell housing.

• Damage to other products or components caused by a Monster Clutch Co. product.

• Any costs associated with rental vehicles, substitute equipment, transportation, shipping, labor, removal, or re-installation.

Warranty Void Conditions

This warranty shall be void if, in Monster Clutch Co.’s reasonable judgment:

• The product has been subjected to unreasonable use, misuse, or negligence.

• The product has been modified, repaired, or dismantled without prior written authorization from Monster Clutch Co.

• Any Monster Clutch Co. part has been replaced with a non-Monster Clutch Co. component.

Limitation of Liability

Monster Clutch Co. shall not be liable for special, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind, including but not limited to labor costs, installation charges, telephone charges, loss of use, substitute vehicle expenses, or transportation costs, arising in connection with the inspection, repair, replacement, or use of any Monster Clutch Co. product.

This limited warranty is provided in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. No dealer, distributor, or third party is authorized to make any warranty, representation, or promise on behalf of Monster Clutch Co. other than those expressly stated herein.

Warranty Claim Procedure

Upon discovery of an alleged defect, the purchaser must notify Monster Clutch Co. immediately. The purchaser may be required, at their own expense, to provide supporting information in the form of photographs, written documentation, or other evidence, along with proof of original purchase.

Monster Clutch Co. reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to inspect, evaluate, and test the product in any manner deemed appropriate. Monster Clutch Co. will make the final determination regarding whether the product is defective in material or workmanship.
